I know there are some of good <desi> consulting companies..
�there are some of good <desi> consulting companies� �hmm.. debatable. Its like saying there are some good bad-apples. I think there can be grades for desi consultants like little bad, more bad, even more bad, horribly bad, ruthlessly bad�etc but not good.
I don�t think there are any desi consultants who don�t fake their resume at least a little bit. Yeah, even a tiny bit (tiny bit according to consultants mostly will be quite a bit in normal standards) of faking is still faking. So how can you call them good?

I presume that ROW would be significantly impacted by this as India & China would not benefit a lot from it now because of PDs being badly retrogressed. I'm afraid that this has the potential of exhausting EB3-ROW row numbers for the rest of the year. Am I wrong to assume this?
I am trying to figure out the impact of this ruling on the current usage of visa numbers.
I am from ROW so I would like to see how many more from ROW would demand visa numbers due to this new ruling.
Obviously this is important to India and China as well because the only way these two categories would get more visa numbers is from ROW overflow this year as these categories have used up most of their visa numvers for the year.

Just wanted to see how many duplicate application USCIS will get this week.
My lawyer has specifically recommended against re-filing. He said exact duplicate applications in the system is a really bad idea and could get to both being rejected. This is different from the case that if one has missed something in the first one, he can re-file.

Folks, can dependent's participate in writing letters to President? I have already mailed my hand written letter to White House and copy to IV team, in addition to that I got confirmation from other Indians with whom I work also mailed their letters..If dependents are also allowed then count for another 10 letters from my side...;)

Do this - Hire a homeless person, give him a VOIP phone with unlimited calling minutes, and ask him to call USCIS every second of his life asking for your recipt. Some day you will get the good news. If you hire 10 homeless and give all of them this job then you might qualify for "investor green card"!!

I received LUDs on my 485 and my wife's 485 and my H1 (Which was recently extended) and Already approved 140.
I have not used AC21 or any thing that would change any thing in my case.
So i guess LUDs may not be tied to AC21 use.
I received a soft lud on my H1B approved in Nov 2007. All other cases do not have any LUD. I guess it is just the system touching these records as routine maintainence.

I think this has a better chance than rest of other EB bills, because US wants more skilled persons and by defintion advanced degree holders from US in STEM are. Congress extended 20,000 H1 visa for US masters and PhD graduates some years ago whereas they were and are loathe to extend the total H1 numbers.
Going by this logic, I think this bill will go farther and gain traction. Lets's keep our fingers crossed.:)
In one stroke, this bill helps both a) US advanced degree graduates and b)non US graduates (i.e, EB applicants), as 1) it puts EB1 and EB2 in non quota category (I,C,P,M and ROW) and 2) frees up EB1 and EB2 numbers for EB3.
