Now that the amendmendts from Senate side have been defeated, what is the latest from House? Do we keep calling CHC members or we have another plan of action? I think the front page needs to be updated.

In order to approve a 485 the PD should be current
Oh !! I see then to approve a 2001/2002/2003 485 case , every month USICS needs to make the VB current on 15 and retrogress on 30th ....

I Live in Norther VA and sent my EAD application to texas lock box
( PO Box 660867, Dallas TX 75266) through USPS.
today I see the status -
"We attempted to deliver your item at 9:51 AM on May 13, 2010 in DALLAS, TX 75222 and a notice was left"

I'm telling you, most likely even if it retrogresses. PD will go back uptil 2004-2005. Most cases are filed after 2005 March.

My I-140 was applied in Mar 2005, when my son was 20. PD became current in Jul 2007 and I-485 was filed. I-140 was approved in Oct 2007.
I have a question: Earlier, it was not possible for me to file I-485 for my son. Under new provision, is it possible?

Hi Everyone
Finally i got the email saying card production ordered on May 10th. My priority date is Ju26th 2006 , EB2. Thank You IV , Aman , Anu, Himanshu, Gopal and all other IVans for the help and most importently Aman for forming IV and giving us a forum to congregate and fight for our cause.
I am donor member since 1.5 yrs, was a member of advocacy day event last year. This april i could not take part because of a family emergency back home. IV has helped me immencely both informationwise and also psychologically during days of regression.
I will continue to be DONOR member in the future as well. I hope that will help other IVans.
I wish you all best of luck in your wait.

9:15pm is a good option. red-eye means late night flight. There are a number of options from BWI to downtown DC. A bus and light rail train will get you there in an hour.

How many of you EB3 India folks who are complaining actually went to Washingtno DC last month for IV Advocacy event?
I hear it was not even 250 people. If you take out all EB2 people, so few EB3 people. This means EB3 people do not really want to do anything but after every visa bulletin come to the site and rant.
We in EB2 do not have much to worry. Our dates will move fast. But you EB3 had a chance last month and you blew it by not doing anything. So stop complaining.

Ron Hira wants all of us on H-1B out of the country. He represents racist middle-aged engineers here who are scared of competition from younger and dynamic engineers from Asia, Europe and other parts of the world.
And one more thing, what do you mean by “Indian Companies”. All the companies are registered in US. Stop putting imaginary labels to the problem. Were you in the EB3 or EB2 Category? And which processing center or are they all the same now for PERM?
I am in EB2, it was painful to see approvals of others..but everything went fine from there...I-140 got approved within 6 days...so I am almost half-GC holder:p

Looks like i got confused.....deleted this. The provisions to reduce the backlog were included in S.AMDT.180 , which has not even been voted..... the s.amdt.187 is something different. I guess we all got confused. The S.AMDT.180 has not passed senate.

Something funny seems to be going on with the TSC EAD processing dept. I got my second "Card Production Ordered" email today, saying new card has been ordered on July 29. This followed the earlier email 13 days ago, which said the new card was ordered July 17! Did anyone else have similar experience?
