what happens if the application is already posted???......My lawyer posted our application today by the overnight delivery.......
I am also in the same boat ...If they put up a notification ( assume on Monday ) will they accept the petitions which came on monday ...any idea how they handled the "Otherworker" before 6 june date ?

Exact same dates and similar machine readable card for my spouse :). Original card was valid till 7/30/2010 - new card valid from 5/14/2010 - 5/13/2012. So she lost about 2 1/2 months.

My PD, Sep 2005, is current as well and has been current since since last month but no magic emails yet. By the way, when I called the CIS today, the officer indicated that my finger print is cleared but name check is still pending. I thought they were the same? Does anyone know what the difference is between the two?

Can you please let us know the procedure? I'm very much interested in filing a formal complaint with the CIS and Ombudsman. I'm not against genuine candidates getting their GC through MNC executive category, but would like to stop this malpractice.
You can email to Ombudsman at CISOmbudsman.Publicaffairs@dhs.gov providing all the detaisl. As a routine they ask to fill a form with your case particulars, explaining why something investigation should be done. Those forms are then sent to USCIS, who routinely give some absurd explanation.
In other words, it could help if there are lot of emails, or letters to Ombudsman (address and fax # can be found on their website - google for it). Emphasis should be on USCIS inefficiency, not following the sequence, PD's etc., if several example cases (via filling forms as they need those for privacy reasons). Give simple examples, such as in May 07, EB2-India cutoff was April 04, now in May 09, it is Feb 04, whereas in the meantime many with PD's in 2005 and 2006 have been granted visas. Why?
Note that PD's, a very important critieria for retrogressed country cases, are not anywhere other than the paper applications. Therefore, USCIS/DOS have no way to know who should or should not be processed next. They claim that they process cases in order they receive (paper filings). So i would request you not to get carried away by few folks who are asking stupid questions like post your transactions or tell us how much u made etc...
What do they expect you to post your SSN and W2 or what :D
God !!! even if someone comes forward to help everyone eyes them with a suspicion......

tons of pre perm applications after approved will go nuts becoz the candidates have already left the employers .
I am sure that dates will remain current in August also. I believe INS will give EAD and will let all wait for GC therefore needs to go to Parole. Once you are in AP, that means, you all are golden eggs laying ducks to INS everyyear.
One +ve plus for is , DESI companies are gone and we can change jobs but its premium price for lot of guys for years to pay .

I have been contributing. Even for the latest Capitol Hill effort I did call my friends and they did contribute. I have the numbers. I myself contributed 100$. I would have spent at least 8 hours making calls and making my friends contribute $. I never gave up on that. But still I do not get enough motivation to keep this doing. I have collected around 200$ at my work for meeting the lawmakers effort but returned the money to individuals. I am sure it would have ended up helping EB2.

Since the Lock Boxes are in place now, does the processing times published monthly by the USCIS give any indication of the average time taken to process EAD & AP ?
Also which service center ( i.e. based on lock box location etc) should we consider when looking at the processing times from now on ?

I assume you all checked ur GC wait time - which probably gave u like 10yrs or 18 years from today. Are you expecting vertical spillover to put you on fast track lane?? say getting a GC in 2010? 2011?? 2012???
vertical spillover will only help EB3's that are very close to Visa Bulletin dates.
There are app 200k people waiting, changing how they allocate leftovers is not going to help 200k hungry people. What we need is more food (more Visa's).

Hi Guys do you know how long it is taking CGI Huston TX to send new passport for expired passports, Original passport was done in India.
Did you put a copy of your valid H1B Document and EAD(if you have one ofcourse) in the Package . Call them and Find out about the delay(prblly you need to call multiple times to connect to them). Mine was sent to NYC and got the New Passport back in mail in about 10 days.
