instead of dividing those who have house and those who will buy if they get gc ..we should focus on more visas and faster approvals (maybe temporary green cards !!) ..no need for more divisions ..there will be congress session for second stimulus bill ..IS THERE any chance that we can push for recapture by telling the congress that 200K highly skilled immigrants are waiting for GC and after that most likely they will buy a house ???? right, and the worry (as is also noted in the AILA complaint that someone posted earlier) is that USCIS can consider the update from DOS to be the 'updated' Visa Bulletin.
There is nothing that prevents DOS from issuing a visa bulletin at any time and making it effective then-and-there. AILA has raised concerns with this, that it is a problematic thing to do, but it seems to be well within the law. I dont think there is a chance of a lawsuit here.
Even If there is a law suit by AILA and negotiations .bla bla ...if they decide to go for a interm memo , the first victims will be us . AILA will collect money one more time and they will be happy ...

Really... Millions... Have you checked the disclaimer in your lit pack under the 6-4-3 plan. A typical IBO makes $115 a month... Amway / BWW was forced to put this statement because of a lawsuit brought by Amway Diamonds and Double Diamonds... You can google...
I know you will now state that "you don't want to be an average... an average corporate employee makes $30K.. etc.. etc.." (Straight from Brad Duncan's CD) I have used it myself hundreds of times on the prospects...
By the way did you call IRS to check.. or you are just believing what Kanti / Kumar / Raj or any other Diamond told you.. Oh another thing that they regularly mention in their trainings "IRS and USCIS don't share data so IRS won't know if you are on H1 or not"... USCIS can ask for your Tax returns before granting Green Card...

your wife a boss and let her run business. You become an employee in Company A (Canada)set by her. Tell her to set company B in US. Tell her to find the project in US. Let her tell the client (USA) to go into contract with company B. Company B's owner (Your wife) will make a contract with Company A ( Here also your wife is an owner) for the position at that client. Being an employee of company A ("Canadian Business") your employer (your wife) will put a TN visa request to the consulate showing USA's client (comany B) business need. Upon approval you fly to USA (Now your wife is your family so wife will also fly with you) for starting a job. You will be considered "Physical Resident" of Canada as "Canadian Business" sent you to USA for business need. Now after some time tell Company B ( Owner: Your Wife)to file US GC application for "Future Employment". As long as you keep getting valid project work in USA, now you will be in a position to stop counting years of GC process. You will be able to maintain Canadian PR , can become Canadian citizen after 3 years and wait for US GC coolly. Ofcourse every year TN will have to be renewed.
Possible flaws in theory: 1) Double taxes (In Canada nad US) ( Will require some research and good advise from Tax expert from both in Canada and US)
2) May affect TN renewals adversely !!? ( No idea.. suggestions welcome).

Just hang on to your jobs or find a job if you loose one. You will get your GC. GC shouldn't stop you from pursuing your interests buying house or starting a business, there are always ways to do it.
I am guessing that your intention is good but the advice is BAD (to put it mildly).
Find a new job if you are on H1 / or even EAD -- first try the same and then let us know.
regarding buying house - if you are welder from Korea - sure go ahead even if you PD is 2006. if from China / India -- just forget it for the time being ... it will add too much stress in your life ..better have the money in liquid form. it is good to be optimistic but you need to be a realist first ..as others have said, if they cannot print a plastic green card for you then it is foolish for you to invest your hard earned money in real estate

I am writing to you with regards to the predicament of the high skilled immigrant community in the United States, waiting patiently for their Green Card. I understand that you have been closely following the immigration debates and thought you may be interested in discussing among your readers and audience the latest volte-face by the US government.
At present there are hundreds of thousands of high skilled law abiding individuals currently residing in the United States, whose “employment based” petition to immigrate has been approved by the USCIS, of the Department of Homeland Security. Due to the arbitrarily set limitation on the number of skilled immigrants admitted each year, and the severe backlogs in processing cases, these immigrants cannot adjust their status to permanent residence.
On June 13th the Department of State issued its monthly Visa Bulletin inviting “all” these high skilled immigrants to file their application for the final stage of the Green Card process, beginning July 2nd. This sent a positive message to the immigrant community who, after years of agonizing wait, finally felt closer to realizing their American dream.
The immigrant community, and their employers, invested valuable time and money on preparing the application forms, getting a medical exam and procuring supporting documents so that their application could reach the USCIS on time. News papers and journals around the world covered interesting stories of how parents and other family members were searching for birth certificates, immunization records, affidavits, etc so that their emigrant family member could have a better life in the United States.
The USCIS, on the other hand, worked so hard through the month of June that it approved about 60,000 cases for adjustment of status, thereby using up all the immigrant visa numbers available for the current fiscal year. It is reported that the service approved approximately 18,000 cases on the last day of June! The Department of State, who is responsible for making the visas available, was forced to issue a revised bulletin on the morning of July 2nd to indicate that no more visas will be available for this fiscal year. As per policy, if no visas are available for the fiscal year, the USCIS stops accepting applications!
The end result of this turn of events is that for the latter half of the month of June, the immigrant community spent hundreds of millions of dollars for their application - on hiring lawyers, taking unnecessary immunization shots, having family members run from pillar to post to collect old documents, only to hear the USCIS announce on July 2nd that it was all for nothing.
It is hard to believe that when the Department of State issued its Visa Bulletin in June, it did not consider the amount of pressure the USCIS would come under in July. The USCIS on the other hand, could have certainly discussed the Visa Bulletin with the Department of State so that a limited number of applications would be accepted in July.
The fact that it took eight months for the USCS to approve 66000 applications, and just the month of June to approve 60000 indicates two things – one that it intentionally preempted the avalanche of cases in the month of July, and second its complaints about lack of resources to adjudicate backlogged cases do not seem true. If the USCIS was intentionally working in over drive to avoid accepting cases in July, why did it not share this information with the department of state and request a revised Visa Bulletin?
The immigrant community is extremely upset with this cruel joke played out by the Department of State and the USCIS. There may be truth in it. But not completely so. There are are lot of well qualified and experienced people. But there may be frauds too.
Again it is a mixture of all kind of types coming through the consultants.
So, the issue is that there are lot of qualified and experienced people in India that are willing to come to USA to seek better opportunities ( although these says , the students from top universities of India may not want to come here ) and i believe it is not that the consultant companies dump 'all who can walk' into USA. There may be a certain percentage that are 'deficient'.
So, my main point is that , by virtue of larger population, India has larger number of graduates/employable folks. Plus many of them learn English ( if i need to communicate with people in other parts of India, i use English ) , may be with thick accent.

But still a lot here falls under "yes we agree bodyshop practices are unfortunate, but let's pretend it has no concequences and it never harmed anybody" That is wrong.. I would hear time and again from ROW friends who land lucritive job offers here but when it's time to apply for H1 they fail because a handful of big bodyshops consume tens of thousands of visas for the exclusive offering in their homeland.. then we hear people now ask the remaining ROWs who managed to stay here against big odds to take another one for the team and help alleviate the problem of the big lines these bodyshops created and claiming this is for the sake of fairness and equality.
i still see other posts with nothing but barking.. ok let it be, we can't do without those who have nothing to offer other than that.

IV works in the interests of both EB2 and EB3 as amitjoey mentioned. we cannot create a Bill to get relief for only one category.
There already exists an very small, unsuccesful org for just EB3 that core is aware of, and they consider IV as their competitors because
1. They do not understand and know nothing of how IV works (just like plainspeak)
2. They want to get donations and members away from IV and make money
These statements give her away. This is what they do try to pressurize IV to do their agenda. Enough said. Ignore the sales agent. They are trying to incite a fight between EB2 and EB3 just to split IV.

I am a simple person who does my job and helps people when i can and yes like every human i have ideas and hopes. Now when i get an idea about an invention i would go to the patents forum and when i get and idea about say investing i would go to an investing forum. Now when i got an idea related to immigration i have come to the forum which stands like a beacon for all immigration community or are you incapable of recognising the fact that that IV (and that means all you guys in in) is big hugh and was doing the right thing when no one else was.
Even now i do not think what IV is doing is wrong. I have differences with the outcome of their approach becasue i feel that this approach wil be bad for EB3. Out of all the people commenting out here there has been NOT even ONE person who has tried to understand the reason for why i feel EB3 is going to get in bad shape. Not one has tried to understand what i have been trying to say that NO big or small immigration bill will pass anytime soon and this will lead to EB2 retrogration which will be going against the statement which all you people like to say that is that EB2wil become current and EB3 will get better later so do not rock the boat

Now if i was a fool i would go down the same path but i am not and i have realized that IV is the only vehcial of change.
