Its all about ratings. Fox is beating CNN in viewership levels. CNN has thus found a niche following for anti-immigrant issues (a conservative matter) and through which is hopes to direct some viewer numbers to its side.

I guess MOST of the people are concerned about the quality of photos than $ spent. My friend had RFE because the photos he got from CVS were not upto USCIS specifications. So any + experience is valuable to the forum.

Changing to vertical spillover will NOT help EB3 India or China. EB3 ROW is not current and it will suck up all overflow leaving EB2I, EB2C, EB3I and EB3C to their annual quota only. USCIS changing the process to horizontal spillover is the best thing that has happened to I and C community in the absence of immigration reform. Now there is at least some hope for EB3 folks to get a new job and apply in EB2, as at least that queue is faster. If we fight among ourselves and stop vertical spillover, it will only benefit EB3ROW as they will get all overflow from EB1 and EB2ROW. Please guys, let's not fight.
you are from eb2 - I wonder what your opinion would have been if you were from eb3 - India ??? my feeling and hope is that they will start giving more spillover visas to eb3 categories - the reason being that they don't want too much gap between employment categories

I keep hearing that SS Funds are gonna be exhausted when our generation retires and probably no-one here in US will be able to get anything, in that case, how can we hope that we'll get some being in india at that time?

Maybe USCIS thinks that our cases mayn't become approvable within the next 15 months. This is just my theory, because I see lot of people have got FP but with early PD's
this might not be true, because I personally know about 7/8 applicants with PD of 2007 (I-140 pending) and received thier FP notices.

those numbers.... 60% or 90% are all doctored...... and i'll look at the poll numbers only if both the following conditions are true -
1.) if i've no brain of my own to differentiate between right or wrong, so i must rely on the poll numbers to help me choose my position
2.) if i'm a cheap bastard running to get elected in some useless office ..... therefore i must do what is popular than what is right.... i must give up my conscience and i must choose my position looking at the poll numbers......

AZ will lose..... federal government is asking AZ to enforce the existing law and disband their illegal & illegitimate bill sb1070 becoz its in violation of the constitution of the country..... applying existing federal law will take supremacy over "AZ immigration law" ........

Trust me there is no way you can sell a diploma as equivalent to degree program. I mean all people can do is if they have 3 Yr BSc + 2 Yr MSc they can hope that CIS accepts it as equal to 4 Yr BS degree. I have seen cases of AMIE candidates rejected stating that US does not recognize AMIE. Now in these two cases atleast their home countries recognize their degrees, In your case India govt will also classify you as diploma holder and not degree holder. Also how can you add 1st year BCom with Hotel Management diploma I mean they are 2 completely different streams?
Here is a solution that I would have done if I was in your shoes. If you have enough time on your H1 then please enroll into a community college or University and try to get a US bachelor degree. I am sure your diploma will help you to get waiver for some courses so that will save time. Also taking evening classes will let you keep your current job. I know it is tough but that is pretty much the best alternative you have. USCIS has clearly stated that your diploma is not equivalent to US degree. I mean even the best evaluation agency can do is compare India degree program to US degree program how can you compare diploma to degree

The diploma was for hotel management from a Govt Funded/recognized institute with nationwide entrance tests. DOnt know their acceptance rates but it falls under the umbrella of the Ministry of Tourism.
I think in the denial letter the officer is accepting that I have an equivalent of a bachelors degree but is still denying it. My attorney thinks that he might be mistaken & might have processed the case as EB2 instead of EB3.

I am very happy with the customer services of New York Indian Consulate. All our passport renewals (4 during last 3 years) happened in a timely fashion and that too thru post without any personal visit. Whenever I e-mailed them with a question, I received answers promptly. I called them to know about status and received precise replies.
I think Meera Shankar needs to be fired. Its bloody 2010 and this is the kind of customer service the indian consulates provide - they dont pick up calls - it takes them a month to issue new passports - Always feel ashamed to be an indian any time I have to deal with these useless consulates.
The Houston consulate does not even have their address properly listed on their website.

Lou believes in quoting no facts, just bullishly repeating such views. Nobody who disagrees can ever get a word in. I am a specialist physician with multiple degrees and board certifications. I practice in underserved communities, speak fluent English and pay my taxes. My visa status is and always has been legal. Do I meet the Lou standards? I am waiting in an endless line for a green card that keeps me at the bottom based on my country of birth. So much for Lou's cheap labor! Has everyone forgotten his tacit support for outsourcing in his "other professional life"?

I am bumping up this discussion.
1. After quick scan of PMBOK3, I am unable to find "software project" specific management processes in PMBOK. (except few words here and there).
2. Few months back, I talk to an Architect who has run through PMBOK. He rates it is closer to junk.
3. Today, I talked to non PMP "software project" manager. he says PMP is off in most of the areas in SP and not needed.
Or am I missing some thing?
Please note: I am not looking for generic management here( I am a MBA thank you ). I am not against reading PMBOK. All I want to know is the relationship between “software project” and PMP and the practical advantage of PMP certificaiton in day2day work.

Until recently (2001), someone with a Bachelors degree could become a CPA since the requirement to take the exam was a certain number of credit hours roughly equivalent to that of a 4-year Bachelors degree. Anyway, I consider a CPA as a certification, not a degree. If USCIS has been accepting CA to be equivalent to a Masters degree, then it is quite generous of them.

If you have been here for 8 years,10 years or 15 years, u may not have got a GC but chances are that there are large number of immigrants with less than a year in the US, close to getting GC.
